Original owner since 12.26.1968. 12A car , 141111 body, 554389 Vin that matches hidden numbers. Bulkhead ID reveals crayon writing X3G, Frost Green Met/ Dark Green Z-28 RS Camaro. Has original date coded rear end. Paint about 8 years old, complete media blasted to remove cracked lacquer paint. Repainted Clear coat basecoat with stripes under clear. Over years I have added Vintage Air and a GM clone cruise control. No floor pans, trunk pans or cowl ever replaced on this car and is not needed. Probably do fact of the 1/4" Quaker coat I sprayed on after car rolled off convoy truck. I have used this car as a primary driver in early days when single and after getting married and raising two children. This should explain the addition of a FridaKing AC long ago. This car is currently a cruiser as it has been all of its life and will be attending its third run on Hotrod Power Tour 2009.
Current motor is a CE case dated (F-290) with forged stroker internals. Scat Crank, Compstar 6.0 rods, SRP pistons and CMC billet 282/290 cam with retro rollers. Cly heads are AFR Street Eliminator just installed with 8mm valve, premium springs and titanium retainers with 60cc comp chambers. Headers are Doug's D368 into Flowmaster transverse 2.5" dual exhaust.
Transmission is 2 year old TKO600 with billet flywheel and Centerforce clutch with 621 housing. Cooling is 4 row Desert Kooler with fan clutch and 7 blade fan. Car has power steering. Cowl hood was not an option on a 12A car but I added it later on in 1969 as you were not kool if you did not have this.
I have decided to begin liquidating my estate as my kids are not gear heads and that is what this car will need to remain a part of early history.
