Description: The vehicle for sale is an original SLP Test car. SLP engineering is the company that produced the Chevrolet Camaro SS for Chevrolet from 1996 to 2002.
This is SLP durability test car and parts development car #12
It is a 1998 Z28 with all of the SS/SLP options (and then some!).

Factory equipment:
Hardtop body style
Black paint, grey/black cloth interior
LS1 engine, factory rated at 305 horsepower
Z28 performance package, ASR (automatic slip restraint), 6 speed manual transmission, 4 wheel anti lock brakes, 12 disc changer, CD/AM/FM radio head unit, power drivers seat, tilt, A/C, power windows & locks, cruise control, power disc brakes, Torsen positraction rear differential.

This is an early production vehicle, and was produced in September of 1998.

It is NOT a WU8, which is the option code for an SS Camaro. It is a Z28 which SLP then used as a prototype for the following SS content:

SLP modifications/upgrades/changes:
SLP prototype bowtie grille
SLP chrome 17 x 9 5 spoke SS wheels
SLP front & rear swaybars 36mm front, 21mm rear
SLP SS hood (functional)
SLP SS rear spoiler w/LED 3rd brake light
SLP dual/dual exhaust system (cat-back)
SLP rear ground effects for Center Mounted Exhaust
SLP prototype 2002 35th anniversary Limited Edition stripes on rear of car in neon green
SLP prototype airbox lid
SLP bilstein shocks/strut package
SLP aluminum rear differential cover

all external badging was removed by SLP except for the bowtie on the rear fascia.

The front fascia is unpainted, and has been drilled to accept test fitting for SLP bowtie & SS grilles.

Among other things, SLP did cold airbox kit prototype testing &
airbox base & core support prototype testing on this car.

rear lower control arms boxed & urethane bushings
rear lower control arm relocation brackets
adjustable panhard bar w/urethane bushings

Hawk HPS brake pads
Pro 5.0 shifter
"Lou's short stick" shift lever
Trans Am instrument cluster bezel
2000 LS1 PCM/injectors dash & harness
(redundant radio controls available if steering wheel is changed)

6 speed manual transmission

4.10 gears

ASR, 4 wheel ABS

Interior trim & carpet, dash, wiring, PCM/injectors, etc from a 2000 Camaro SS (#4038, RIP)
