67 Antenna Location

Greetings all,

Hopefully an easy question...

Why do I see some 67 Camaro's with the antenna mounted on the rear (passenger side) while others it's mounted on the front (passenger side) fender?

Re: 67 Antenna Location

Right front fender was standard and rear was optional. It was stylish to have it mounted on the rear.

Question Re: 67 Antenna Location

you know the 67 rear antenna is coded on the cowl tag too , wonder why they thought an antenna was important enough to be a seperate option ?

Re: 67 Antenna Location

I have a 67 with antenna in the rear. Now it is a power unit for am/fm and then I have another antenna mounted between the trunk lid and the rear window trim for satellite radio. The power antenna was the best thing I ever did. I don't have to worry about somebody ripping it off.

Re: 67 Antenna Location

Your fender must have been repalced. The OER repop front right fenders have no antenna hole.

I'll bring mine down and we can trade.......... I'm thinking power mounted in the rear also..... Then it won't get in the way of the spoiler.........

Re: 67 Antenna Location

I think it is an original fender, if you look at the right angle you can see where it was. somebody covered it over at some point.

mitch, i'm not sure it will fit in the overhead compartment. getting close, are you excited about the trip??
