Seen many classic cars of this era with body painted engine bay....look very nice to...personally I prefer the look... but still have black.
Its a generation thing.. old school black engine bay, modern cars body colour.

Rad = gloss black
Rad support = semi gloss black

Personal choice, I like the contrast in blacks

Mopar, AMC and Fords were body color, so it's only out of the ordinary for Chevys and a matter of preference.

Yeah, to each his own, I like the look of the painted rad support. You need to do a little finish time on it for body color if you ask me. They didn't stamp it nice enough to be "showing it off" if you know what I mean.

Wayne, look into the heat dissipation difference between gloss black and flat black. I was told years ago it is a BUNCH and that radiators or anything that is susceptible to retaining heat like an automatic transmission for instance should be painted with a flat color. It may have been an old wives tale but it makes sense to me in that the surface is "open" on the flat color.

Very correct..."bunch" is really huge bunch.
And its not the difference between matt and gloss but a huge difference between back colour going into chrome/ polish.
