Re: Center of Gravity for Rotisserie?
It was 8.25" drop from center in the front bracket for the convertible. But I've also used the 9.25" drop bracket for setup for the coupe on my convertible body and used 40lbs of lead shot in a diver's weight belt on the top of the windshield frame to counterbalance the longer arms. Don't worry about mounting to the bumper sheet metal as long as you use the three main rear bracket points. I've not seen any body deflection by using the bumper holes. Feel free to pass the plans along. I've know of folks in a Datsun 510 forum that have modified the design for that use too.
I've spent too much time on my new Road Glide and not enough time on my convertible. Maybe this winter I'll get some filler on it and paint it next spring. I hope!
