Camshaft Markings

I am beginning to wonder if my cam is a Crane cams not a comp Cam.

Markings:

"C
C"
On the Front (offset like that)

And a 292h on the rear. Unfortunately I cant find any info on the CRANE 292H due to their situation. I was under the assumption I had a Comp cam, but now my memory is failing me!

Re: Camshaft Markings

From Comp Cams, 292H grind number. Do these cam specs ring a bell?
Just trying to help.

Re: Camshaft Markings

I've got one of these, in a block but never run. If anybody wants to trade for it please PM me. I'd rather have a 274H06 or solid Duntov for my setup.

Does it have the same markings? Is a comp? or a crane? Comp Cam= C C? or Crane Cams= C C?

Sorry, I can't tell you anything about the markings. It's in a block right now in a buddy's basement. But it's a comp cams 292H that I bought a long time ago.

Re: Camshaft Markings

Ok, I bought a set of calipers (digital-never owned digital before) and measured the base and then the lobe....It took several trys due to the new calipers and gettng used to them)

Base= 1.185" (measured several lobes, does this sound right for the base circle?)
Lobe= 1.519" (this was tuff becuse of the taper but I think its right)

My math thats a .334 lobe....

292H cam has a .334 lobe x 1.5 Rocker = .501

Now my measurements could be off.....

Does the base circle size seem to be right? if so I trust my lobe lift number....
