Fred I think a 1/4'' spacer may cause my sidewall to rub quarter lips? As far as times, only going from what I here with the same set up. Mid- low 10's. Total speculation. I'm green and jumping on the track a little late here.
I forgot that I cut the upper wheel well molding off back in '69.
Those tires fit in there realllllly nice.
Back space is 5.5" on these wheels.
These are last season's Hoosier's. Same size. You can see the cutout.
Tight, very tight.
Mid to low 10's huh? Are you going to run a power adder? Please don't, that's cheating.
Now here's a tid bit for you; First gen Camaro's are NHRA LEGAL DOWN TO 10 FLAT WITH A 5 POINT ROLL BAR
Any quicker, into the 9's, you'll need a NHRA license plus a whole bunch of other stuff.
Do your roll bar right and it'll work well for cruise night too.
Here's from 2years ago. Notice that the rear bars are installed but nearly invisible. They're called rear-seat-savers from Art Morrison.
Here's the rear shelf. Now THIS was,,,,,, tricky.
All buttoned up. Even the side bar is removable. The passenger side doesn't need one. Our SO's like that.
