Help me decode my car??

I have a picture of the cowl tag on my 68 camaro and Im having issues decoding it. From what ive found the car should have been ermine white with gold bucket seats in the interior. The issue Im having is the interior of the car is like a pea green. I havent found any evidence of white in the paint or gold in the interior. Someone help haha. Also it looks like it had a two tone paint job but Im not sure.

Re: Help me decode my car??

That color code almost looks like c-g but my eyes must be bad because I don't know if I've seen a white car with a gold top.

Your code says gold interior but just because it's different, don't worry about that. My cowl tag was for a white car with blue interior but there was no trace of the white as it had been totally primered and the seats were houndstooth. Because change stuff around.

Re: Help me decode my car??

The exterior is G-G, which is Ash Gold (upper and lower). The leg in the first G is faint, but you can see if it you really look.

The interior is 722, which is Gold (standard interior). It's not unusual for the Gold interior cars to look green after 50 years.

Re: Help me decode my car??

ill take some pictures of the metal on the dash and let you take a peek at the color. Its like pea green. Its awful. But i do see the G-G so thats kind of cool to know the car was gold, even though it has that awful green in the door jambs.

Gold on gold. Pretty popular back in the day.

The interior is a gold-green. Nice in original condition.

Re: Help me decode my car??

Commonly referred to as "Ivy Gold", it does have a greenish hue to it. Different from 67 gold interiors. Here some more pics....1967 - 1969 Camaro interiors
