Front driver side hung up?

We are nearing the end of the restoration and have a problem that we narrowed down to what looks like the front driver suspension.
The rear passenger side was higher than the other so we placed in on stands and measured to see if the unibody was tweaked?
During the restoration we found that the driver door and front fender had been replaced and some damage to that pillar from years ago.
Here is my question.
When it's in the air you can see that wheel is held up about 1-1.5 inches. The floor isn't perfectly level but it's pretty close.
What do you guys think? Bad could spring, its original. Bad upper a arm? Could be tweaked from the accident?
Looking at just replacing the with tube a arms and new coils, think that'll resolve the issue?

Upper A arm binding? Did you tighten the shaft end bolts with the wheels in the air? The weight of the wheels should pull down on the upper A arms to the same extent. If you back off on the bushing bolts the uppers will rest on the stops and the wheels will hang down the same. Tighten them all to the same torque with the full weight of the car on the ground after bouncing it a few times so there's no binding in the bushings. I think the specs are 50 ft-lbs.

You don't have the jack centered and the wieght of the car may be throwing it off that much.

Also check the sub frame mounts. The sub frame some times rust out on top around the body mounts.

Take a close look at the body mount locations on the sub frame for distortion, particularly the front ears. Check the body mount bushings while you're down there. Check the wheel spacing on the front wheels relative to the inner and outer fender to make sure they are even.

Thanks Roger,
The jack is on the center beam and we moved it from the center to where it was, didnt matter, the wheel was still the same distance from the ground. Its hanging up.
Car is just restored, no rust on the sub frame mounting area.

We did about a dozen times, its on the jack stands, the floor jack is a safety.

Thanks, great advice. I will give that a shot this afternoon to see if it'll drop it down, its worth a shot.
If that doesnt work I assume there is a bend in the upper A arm or the coil spring is shot, I think the spring is original equipment.

Pull the shock out. Might be too short or damaged. Loosen the upper A arm bolts. Check the lower arm for any binding at the bushings. May be bent.

Most first gen camaros have limited room for the shock absorber up in the spring pocket. It's where the shock body goes up past the upper coil spring seat. If the shocks are large diameter, they can jam up in there and get stuck. I saw it happen to a Trans-Am vintage race 69 Camaro. The guy put large body Koni's on it and they got wedged in there. The shocks limit droop travel, so compare the shocks for full extended length.

Disconnect one sway bar end link and see if the bar is twisted.
All A arm inner pivot bolts should be tightened with the car on it's wheels, or the bushings will be pre-loaded and affect ride height.

Have you checked the bump stops on the upper control arm? They tend to deteriorate over time. The one on the passenger side could be shot or missing. Just a thought.
