402 BBC Combos/desktop dyno

I had a previous post asking for help putting my combination together and this is the final outcome (thus far). I'm looking for someone to do a desktop dyno to see what type of power this will yield. I also would like to hear of anyone with a similiar set up, to see if there is something I'm not thinking about or what little mods helped get the most out of their combination.

Thanks,
BAM

Re: 402 BBC Combos/desktop dyno

I can get kinda close.
the .625 cam makes 573hp at 6000 and 551tq at 4500.

the .600 cam makes 555hp at 6000 and 553tq at 4500.

I told it to use "large tube headers with mufflers" and to use Edel 6045 heads.

Thanks, that's the range I was expecting, I figured 550hp. I have 2 1/4 headers, that's pretty large...;0)

Thanks again,
Ivan

WOW, just noticed that the .600 cam made more torque, interesting.

Re: 402 BBC Combos/desktop dyno

Seems odd that 2 different cams with a 10deg duration difference show peak power at 6K.

IMO, both of those HP figures seems abit generous.

Hopefully someone can run the figures over again and confirm or deny the results.
