Aftermarket sticks and tubes can be of different lengths from OE items.
As others suggested, pour in the oil and measure on the stick.
If higher than new stick markings, calibrate the stick.
GM's EOS = Engine Oil Supplement, Expensive over any GM parts counter, $24 per bottle at the local GM dealer I chose at the time, but well worth the money.
Most other members use Joe Gibbs or Brad Penn oil has they have more robust zinc recipe.
You won't really know whether the engine has roller lifters or flat tappet lifters until the intake is pulled, but it doesn't hurt to add more zinc.
And yes, short rocker covers would mean no roller rocker arms as they need the height.
Also, the length of oil filter will detrmine whether it is a qt capacity, tall filter as in a Fram PH8, or short filter, one pint capacity, half the length of a long one, model number eludes me for the moment.
