Cam Help Voodoo 60103 or 60104

Need cam help I need to choose between these two cams or other cam? My car is a 69 camaro TKO 500 5spd 12-bolt 3:73 gears I have stock power disc breaks and factory air-conditioning. I am building a new 406 spec's are:

10.5 speedpro pistons
5.7 Scat rods
Balance bottom end
Edelbrock 200cc V-tec heads
Harland sharp 1.5 roller rocker
1 3/4 headers
2 1/2 magna flow complete exhaust system with x pipe

Cam Voodoo 60103 or Voodoo 60104

I mainly street/show drive the car with 4 trips to the drag strip a year. I also want the car to have a nice choppy idle.

Any advice on this engine combo would be appreciated

I vote for the 60104, but maybe on 108 LSA.

This could do better in the Performance forum if it could get moved. I'm interested in comments on the 60104.

I vote for the 104 in your 406. I run the 103 in my 350/330ho motor and its barely noticeable. It puplls 13 inches of vacum at 750 rpm idle and pulls strong all the way to redline.

Thanks for the info. That is what i was looking for. Plus i was also wanting to know what vacum my motor would pull. I am leaning towards the 104. I also need to check into clearance issues with std base circle cam to connecting rods on a 400.

Re: Cam Help Voodoo 60103 or 60104

I am in the 406 build process as we speak... I went with the Voodoo 60103 on a 108 LSA small circle based. After discussing the build with tech at Lunati, that is what they reccommended. My car is also a driver that will see minimal strip time. I didnt want to go too far with my selection. On the desktop dyno.. it pulled 477 HP and 490 FT/Lbs... which is pretty bitchin for a driver. Let me know how the 104 works for you... would love to know what I coulda went with...lol

Re: Cam Help Voodoo 60103 or 60104

I would say for what you want the 104 is a better choice. Although the 103 is very good as well. I have the 60105 in my 427 small block. It was a real torque monster, and pulled great to @5800 with my Stealth. Now with my Team-G 7532 it still has gobs of torque , but really pulls from 4000-6300. I pulled 11-12" vac. with the Stealth, and a solid 10" with the Team-G.
