lower vent/kick panel 1969

AQm I missing something here I cant seem to get the lower kick panel out? What is the trick? I cant seem to get it out past the innser vent that goes into the sheetmetal? Im trying to get both of them out any tips would be great

A crow bar.
After it's out, cut-off the inner flange that makes it so damn hard to remove. Then be sure your roll bar unbolts instead of being welded. A cutting torch down there wouldn't be good.
Oh, on the drivers side you have to unbolt and set-aside the emergency brake assembly. Three bolts, two are next to the vacuum booster. Have fun, like the rest of us.

One owner 69 Camaro,(yep, bought it new)
RS SS Hugger Orange, L88, 4:10's tru-tack posi, ducted hood, Endura, spoilers.
TH400 (CX) with Coan 8" converter, GV-OD, 8 track still on console and best et 10.495, 128.79mph 1.428 60'
All with 1960's stuff. (except tires and converter)
+ MT Super Scavenger headers & 3" full exhaust with X pipe. 3700 lbs. with me in it.
1000cfm AED and HD Harold-Lunati SR, 725 lift with shaft rockers too.

It did'nt make it any easier to get out, but yelling at it made me feel better.

You really only need to trim the flanges a little on the top and bottom, then the go in much easier! Dennis, You just to keep twisting an pulling

WTF! how the hell did you get this thing off? I cant get it off and now the sealer is keeping it from sitting flush to reinstall!?

I will have to do a write up on this, this spring One of my vent cables came undone, so I have to remove the DR side again to fix. I will have to take some pics as I go

Just orient it correctly and it comes right out. It's not a task that can be easily explained because the person doing the removal is responsible for positioning. Once you complete one R&R, the procedure will go easily for all others.
