Do your research as you can use the Hurst shifter with no tunnel modes ,extra holes, no cutting etc.. you need the correct mounting bracket levers etc. I am no Camaro "expert " as I am not into numbers matching car stuff. That being said we have two Camaros , my 68 pro touring, and my son's 67 ss,rs, all original except wheels, and trans. The 67 we bought 5 years ago when he was 16 a total barnyard find one owner 83,000 mile car, always garaged zero rust. The car is very highly optioned with the 350 engine, factory air, disc brakes, power windows, 12 bolt rear, disc brakes, fold down rear seat, center console with full gauges etc etc. All complete nothing messed with. The only thing that ducked was the car came factory with a power glide trans as the car was ordered by a women with tons of options , but she did not want a manual transmission according to her daughter who I bought the car from. Long story short, my son hated the at, so we swapped in a Muncie trans and Hurst shifter, complete bolt in, not a single hole drilled, or cut made. Very easy to do if you take the time to do it right and use the correct parts. Shifter is located correctly in the center console, with all the dust boots, Shifter boot, Shifter slides etc.
