Kick down switch

I am trying to locate the switch as the prior owner of my car lost it. I have been on ebay but no luck, there was 1 at $1,500 with out the bracket. Way out of my price bracket. Does anyone have a similar problem. Help please. Thanks for any help, this one maybe a major problem.

Re: Kick down switch

There's a number of switches listed on eBay which may be in your price range...

Re: Kick down switch

Go to the local pick and pull or reg scrap yard and get a switch from any of the millions of cars, trucks or vans that ran a Turbo 400 and get the switch. Truck or van will be easier. They are rebuildable. BangShift.com BangShift Tech: How to Repair the Kickdown Switch in a Turbo 400 Transmission - BangShift.com

Re: Kick down switch

There are always a few of them on ebay:

Kick Down switch Turbo 400 1967 1968 1969 Chevelle Camaro Nova Impala 325 Hp 396 | eBay

Beware that they might be a little "sticky" from the grease they used in them getting old and hard. You can open them up with a chisel on the sides of the case where they are crimped. Clean out the old grease and use a little dielectric grease to lube. Will be good as new.
