Re: 4th gen rear axle into a 3rd gen??
i could be wrong, but i think all the drum brake 3rd gen Camaros with drum brakes used the same axle flange as the "G" bodies- Monte SS, Regal, etc. this is an oddball flange that is unlike any other rear axle- but i have read of people using the disc brake bracket as a template to drill the proper mounting holes for the disc brakes. the only 3rd gens with factory rear disc brakes had the oddball Borg Warner rear axle with a totally different axle flange, and not the 7.5.
all the 4th gen rears had the standard 10/12 bolt axle flange, and got upgraded to a slightly larger 7 5/8" ring gear.
also, i think they went from 26 spline axles to 28 spline with the switch to the 4th gen in 93.
so, if it actually works, get the rear disc stuff from a newer Camaro- or an S10 Extreme- and modify the axle flange to accept it.
you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.
wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?
