I have a Grant steering wheel, and just bought a Grant #3162 installation kit to install it on my rebuilt 67 tilt column. The hole for the horn contactor in the kit seems to be located incorrectly. The factory horn contactor is at 10 o'clock, but this Grant kit wants to put it at 2 o'clock when the TOP^ mark is up on the hub. The turn signal cancel cam won't operate correctly if it's at 2:00. Did I get the wrong adaptor kit?
Grant responded quickly on their tech email line... Recommended I swap the 3162 for 3196, which allows 10:00 and 2:00 positions... Will update when I get it fixed.
So the 3196 kit appears to have "kind of" worked. I don't have it on the road yet, but the steering wheel seems to be off center by a few degrees clockwise when the cancel cam is centered.
