Musclecarjohn...I agree about looking at 100 cars and seeing 100 different stripes, and in fact the car we are doing will also be different. Looking at Thunder's yellow car, the rear stripes seem to be spaced further apart than the fronts do...I'm gonna space the rears closer together....same distance as the front ones.

Again, thanks for all the input.

I think they look better that way too...closer together in the rear and about 15 1/4" wide.If you start the outside edge of the MAIN stripe smack dab in the middle of the back-up light on a standard rear taillight lense, you'll be fine.

Speaking of stripes,a buddy of mine is having his stripes layed out today on his '69 Z...Hopefully I'll be able to sneak over there and snap some pics.

Re: 69 Z28 Stripes.

I used Thunders photos as well for reference....I printed them out and gave them to my painter...just so there would be no question as to what I wanted..Turns out my painter did a lousey job anyways...he forgot to actually use a tape measure or template when he did the layout....He had to re-do them completely.....Still not happy with the job....so I'm just turning it into a nice driver!

Re: 69 Z28 Stripes.

To Gary L. yes the recessed area ia painted body color, just don't put the stripes down into this area. just alittle more input! Keep in mind if you intend on getting your car judged at ACA camaro nationals, they will bust you another 10 points if you put clear coat over them{in the 1000 point bow-tie class]. In two weeks I will be re-doing mine for the third time! I believe they will be correct this time. Pretty insane! Larry,69Rfine

Those are some great shots. I have printed them and they will be useful.

Thanks again.
