Guy Fieri's '67 Camaro used in Diners Drive-Ins and Dives

The Camaro used for the first 11 seasons of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives is being put up for sale. It is a '67 red Camaro convertible in great working condition.

Can any of you help with an estimation of what this might be worth?

let me know if there are follow up questions to help attain an estimate.

TIA.

'67 rs - ordered new by my Grandfather
327 L30, K-K, Deluxe int, tach & gauges, 12 bolt posi, 4 speed.
the Melrose rs - L30 327/275hp

Doesn't matter what the car's value is since they are bidding on the car, it will go to someone with more money than the car is worth because the bidders are Guy Fieri fan.

I think this thread is an ad for the ebay auction...

Sure are two different cars....one is an RS and the other two are not. It's not from Triple D....it's from Transformers

Ohh and I love Triple D....and the Transformer flix were pretty cool also.

I think the first pic is wrong, my apologies. But this is not an ad for an ebay auction. We're trying to get an understanding of what this car might be worth, and yes there could be additional interest due to the celebrity connection.

I will follow up with Engine size, mileage, etc.

Re: Guy Fieri's '67 Camaro used in Diners Drive-Ins and Dives

Bobby, you will want to play up the celebrity connection for top dollar and you'd probably be best off offering it through a known auto auctioneer such as Mecum, Kruse, Barret-Jackson. Assuming the car is a good running driver, probably an SS "clone" without original engine, without the celeb connection I'd expect it to be $20-25k in this economy.
Just my thoughts.

Re: Guy Fieri's '67 Camaro used in Diners Drive-Ins and Dives

I don't watch too much TV but I do have cable and never heard of this guy/show. Sounds like a neat show. Maybe I'm not a good gauge but not sure how much "famous-factor" really applies here. Would recommend just valuing the car for what it's worth. Although 11 seasons says someting so must be a good/popular show.

I recall a Cadillac selling at auction several yeas back ('76 model I believe) that was in excellent shape only going for like $10 - $12k and it was owned by Johnny Cash. I thought that was a steal consdiering the previous owner's status so wouldn't put too much weight in this fella's celebrity status carrying over into the Camaro's value.

Re: Guy Fieri's '67 Camaro used in Diners Drive-Ins and Dives

Ya know some of you are throwing out what sound like very low ball numbers. There was a '69 SS clone that looks very much like my car (black houndstooth interior) going for $45k at a recent GG show here. As well I see most decent 1st gen convertibles starting around $30k. By decent I mean a car you don't have to run out and paint it or put anything into it to enjoy if you don't want to! $25k seems about right for a coupe to me, I bet at auction the car sells for around $50k maybe more being it's been on TV for so long.

Re: Guy Fieri's '67 Camaro used in Diners Drive-Ins and Dives

The show is on the food network. Guy Fieri is seen driving the car at the open of the show. That would make a difference because it's a direct connection.
