NOS GM part but gave no idea of application or value

No part number on box or part.

What is it and what's it worth?

Not sure but it kind of looks like the solenoid to operate the cowl induction hood flapper. No idea what it would be worth.

69 Z/28 RS clone. Azure Turquoise. First car--owned for 32 years and counting.

It looks similar but not for 69 Camaro flapper.

Could be for a 1970 Chevelle hood.

The solenoid is to operate the cowl induction hood flapper on 80-81 Camaro Z-28.

The 80-81 Camaro part doesn't have a wire coming out as my switch does, plus attachment hole is totally different size.

I wonder if it could be for another GM application. Some of the other marques like Oldsmobile, Buick and Pontiac had ram air setups that may have used a solenoid actuator.

1967 RS/SS 350 Conv - triple black, 4sp, tach & gauges

1969 VN-built RS/SS 396 Conv - Garnet Red/Black, 4-sp, tach & gauges
