I have found a 396 block and have been told it came out of a 1969 Camaro. There is a JU suffix on the front pad but the partial vin has a letter 'J'. I thought Camaros were only built in Los Angeles and Norwood, Ohio. Therefore the letter in the vin should be a 'L' or a 'N'. What would this 'J' represent? A Nova maybe? I thought Novas were only built at the Willow Run Plant. Anyone have a clue? Thank you.

A "J" in the partial VIN says it came out of an Impala or Caprice built at Janesville, Wisconsin. Novas were built at Willow Run ("W"). :thumbsup:

from what information I have found out about mine, I have learned that my Camaro came out of the Norwood Plant in Ohio. If it has a NOR then it was Norwood, Ohio.
