Why haven't the moderators moved these eBay questions etc. to the "What is it worth" and eBay discussion category ? Some questions etc. get moved for not much of a reason, and yet I still see these posts in Camaro Tech !

Cause sometimes the moderators just get busy with other things and sometimes moderators just don't feel like getting bitched out for moving a thread even though it should be moved...

Appreciate though that some members like things in the right places...

Hey, thanks Dennis. I wasn't putting the moderators down. It is a thankless job. By the way, were you on vacation last week ? I din't see you answer to many threads. Many of the ebay questions are asked by new visitors. Maybe we should put that category first ? Just a thought for Al ! Also we need to get something that says we are primarely a 1st gen. site. Also I think we need to obtain plastic license plate covers, with the Team logo. You know, the licenses that the dealer's put on their new vehicles.

Ya I had to take a week off, my dad had cancer surgery (everything went well) so I went to hang out with him and didn't have internet access. I know you weren't ragging with the question. It just felt good to let out my answer... :D Sometimes it's new folks that mis-post, sometimes it's just guys that have been around a while and just don't give it a thought... well, until it gets moved and then we hear about it... Don't get me wrong, not all do but each time you push the move button it's like Russian Roulette... It goes with the territory though and on the other side of teh coin a lot of folks express their appreciation and that's what keeps us going...

Hey, the license plate frames are a great idea, if Al runs with it you should get the 1st one... :beers:

I like the license plate idea, and would be right in line to buy one if they existed. Don't care much for stickers on my car, tho the lil TC one lives in the windshield, but a plate holder would be cool.

As for moderating here being "a thankless job" don't none of you even think it. I don't think any of the other mods would disagree with my feeling that it is both a pleasure and an honer.

As for the "firstgen - other gen" thing, we've gone around and around on that, both publically and privately. The site owner wants this to be a place where all Camaro owners are welcomed and at home, and he is 100% right, tho it took some for me to see it that way.

ditto for the license plate holder, gimme gimme :)
moderating is fun, keeps the stress down, (most the time) and is valuable learning tool as well.
Best thing is meeting some of the dang nicest folks in the world that will give their shirts off their backs to help a camaro buddy.

I am quilty of the wrong place rule myself. I have been notified about it, and I did apologize. I guess it is was just not thinking on my part, but I now see why it is important to keep things in order. As far as "bitching someone out", over such a thing is just childish. The moderators are just keeping it straight, and that is why this is such a enjoyable site. Everyone of us can learn from their mistakes, and for those who are doing the bitching, give learning a try, Mike.

Here is a site that can make the license plate frames.

http://www.teamspiritwear.com/customlicenseplateframes.php

I'd be willing to be a part of this if AL decided to let it happen. I know we are all busy folks, but if there is something I could do, I'd be willing to assist.

I also agree that a frame would be a great idea but please bear in mind that my state (NJ) requires 2 MV plates on the car, front and rear. A frame would be of interest but maybe a choice of either a plate or a frame could be offered.

I couldn't find this topic again, wasn't looking for "ebay" so might start a new one.

I made up a test license plate frame. It's a test only right now and open to input.

Yeah - I guess I've always been a collector of things. I think I still have some Angel Flights and platform shoes laying around here somewhere.

I think it would be a great way to support the site by having TC get together some advertising specialties that we can all buy, the site can make a little extra dough, etc. I know I talk about Tc whenever I can and, if I had a keychain or some other "emblem" to show off, it would lefitimize it to others. These kinds of things ... keychains, license plate frames, etc... only really work if the people using them actually pay for them and if it revolves around something they are passionate about. I have given away thousands of license plates, mugs, pens, rubber duckies, and countless other ad specialties products to my customers over the years. Most of the time it's simply a gesture on my part, and a waste of money in some respects (I don't recall seeing any of the hundreds of license plates I gave away on any cars around town). But, in this case, if members would be willing to participate, it could be a good thing.

Al... maybe you could come to a concensus by posting some choices of different products that people might be willing to buy, take a poll or head count, and then you would have an idea of what people might like. Just a thought.
