keypilot Feb 22nd, 07, 01:11 PM so would you need 2 sets for the RS lights? @$99?
Musclerodz Feb 22nd, 07, 02:30 PM so would you need 2 sets for the RS lights? @$99?
No, one set, and the price is now $119 for the pair. $99 is almost what my cost is for them so I had to bump them a little.
DOUG G Feb 27th, 07, 03:47 PM I like them also.
Are these "plug and play" or are there other mods (diode or something) needed due to the low amp draw ?
Now about that price increase being faster than the rising cost of gas :D lol jk

Yes, plug and play, no diodes, just plug straight into the 1157 socket. this thread shows a pic of them lighted up on a set i sold that went to the Netherlands. http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=26987

68 Ragtop Mar 1st, 07, 09:23 PM I tried to order these on your website but all you have are 67 RS and 68 Standard.
I need 68 RS, do you have them, and if so , how do I order them?
Musclerodz Mar 2nd, 07, 08:04 AM The 67 LED's should work in the 68 housing. the only difference in the originals were the lens styles. If they don't fit for some reason, I will refund your money 100%

The 67 and 68 are quite different. The 67's are smooth all across the surface and the 68's have 2 sections that project out of the bezel.
I don't see how a 67 will fit properly in a 68.
Can you check with your supplier to see when a 68 RS will be available?

I reread the article in Camaro Performers and they installed the 67 RS units in 68 bezels. The LED lenses have a releaf in the center of them as well. I will also call a buddy next week and see if he has a 68 bezel I can test fit them in. I would use mine but I sold them and got 67 bezels awhile back

Thanks for posting a good pic. Other than information, you can't purchase direct from them, you have to go through a dealer such as us . That is the 67 RS units in a 68 bezel.

Musclerodz Apr 10th, 07, 08:35 AM Any idea when the 69's are coming out?I have not been told of any date yet. I do have '69 LED's in the sequential set up, see the digi-tails thread below
Mike
lortsie Apr 10th, 07, 10:38 AM Can you comment on the difference between these and the Digi-Tails? I assume the digitails have a tighter grid of LEDs for the animation? Any difference in fit and finish? Thanks!

Definitely more LED's in the digi-tails. Quaility is great on both. Digi-tails do not include the lense and are DOT compliant but not DOT approved where the others include the lense and are DOT approved. The difference to me is how much do you want sequentials for the cool factor.

zdld17 May 13th, 07, 03:47 PM I do speed control aka. cruise control installations in various vehicles and have run into probles with these led lites . Requires adding some resistance in light wiring . Do you know if these complete units are causing problems?
I installed a cruise control into a 68 first gen and cruise would not operate , after a few hours of testing, I stumbled on the led type tail lamp bulbs.

The digi-tails will require an upgraded flasher unit, but have not heard of any problems yet. The others I sell operate on a voltage range of 7.7-14.0 volts and have had no issues so far with them. Now if you installed LED's in the front and back, upgrading the flasher unit would be a necessity.

I just received a set of the '67-'68 RS LED's for my '68 RS and guess what, the lenses don't fit correctly like you said! There is a difference between the two lenses with the '68 having two raised sides with an indentation between them. The LED's for sale advertised as fitting both '67 & '68 RS will not work in the '68 RS housing like the originals. They may fit in, put will not look like the original lenses. I just wanted to post and let everyone know that I tried these and had to send them back. I too, would like to be advised when the company makes available a set that will fit the '68 RS correctly.

MarkAs I said in the email I sent to you, just send them back and when I receive them I will refund your money with no restock fee. I will be changing my description back to 67 only until I get the issue resolved. No one else had had an issue (or told me there was until now) and a set were installed in 68 bezels in a Camaro Performer magazine with no mention of improper fitment.

The point I'm trying to make here is if you are looking for an original, stock looking LED tail light lense for your '68 RS, these are not for you. They will probably fit in the '68 bezels but won't look anything like the originals. Maybe you could state this in your item description (will fit '68 RS, non-original looking)?
Like I stated in my previous thread, if you get lenses in stock that will match the '68 RS originals, please let me know and I will purchase them. I will be sending you the lenses back today for a refund. Thanks for all your help in this matter.

Ok, now I see the issue. You are referring to the non-stock look of the lense, not that they don't fit. If that is the case, the DIGI-TAIL line we carry that have sequential operation go behind the stock lenses. They are more expensive because of the sequential function, but the sequential function can be turned off if you don't want it. They do require an extra power wire to operate because the computer controlled led lights and require replacing the 1157 socket with a weatherpack connector. They have the same warranty as the others you just received. They also highly recommend no load flashers but are not required if you are just running led's at the rear. They are $209 a set. Pic is of both the std and rs set.
