I currently am looking at upgrading my differential and have a 350/385HP backed up by a Muncie close ratio M-22. Would a 3.73 make sense considering most of my driving is in town and I don't do alot of freeway driving? Thanks for your input....

you have a 3.08 now? It must be very difficult getting started in 1st. When picking gearsets I usually try to get a 1st gear ratio in the range of about 8 to 10:1. With a 2:20 first gear in the M21, I think right now you're about 6.75:1. I think 3.73 would be a better gearset for an M21.

Just my $.10

hehe, a TKO would fix it real nice, and without any compromise on the highway!

I have an M22 and 3.73s now It's a great combo when not driven on the highway. It will be even better with a TKO600 that I have on the 2008 project list.

Good towing vechile for transport trailer also
The engine is built for bottom end torque not high end RPM

3:73 is a great gear!! I had one in my first 1969. If you are looking to tone it down slightly (more highway, less out of the hole) than 3:55 or 3:42/3:43 will be ok...
