Does anyone have a picture of the plastic deflector over the main (floor) heater box outlet for a 69? The AIM shows a plastic deflector, and the new repro boxes like Rick's HC-49 have a "69 style lower duct" that is just a plastic shield that dumps onto the trans tunnel.

I don't have one, and I am trying to decide if I should look for one. Occasionaly I see a plastic lower duct on ebay identified as lower duct for heater on convertibles 67-69. Is this a Camaro thing, or is it just Firebirds? My 68 didn't have anything over the metal louvers on the box itself, but a previous owner added the console so maybe he took something off.

I'm just trying to figure out how mine is supposed to look, and then decide if I care.

Eric, I think the convertible deflector thing is a myth. There were 2 styles of deflectors, with a console and without. the big difference was on the without console, there was a vent right in the center of where the console would go.
