I am pretty sure I need a 270 coil for with the cowl hood, and my friend has an old one he says came from an early '60s vette. Would the one I need also have the letters "B R" on it?

My original 298 coil has the B R on it.
270 coil is correct for use with the cowl hood.
I'm talking 1969 here, not sure about other years.
