I had flowers sent to her work place, BINGO, she was the only one of 8 gals that got flowers, boy did that make her all proud and giggly.. now I got 7 other guys in hot water too :D (added to my brownie point total as well)
Then took the Mrs. and one daughter to Applebees for nice steak dinner, then home to watch Deal/No Deal our fav. show. Life is good.
p.s. I got a balloon tied to a snickers bar, my fav. :)

DjD Feb 15th, 07, 09:35 AM Wasn't that a snickers commerical that got banned after it aired during the super bowl? :D
I got my wife a Torker intake manifold, a set of manifold bolts and washers, a thermostat housing, valve cover studs and bolts and interior door handles. :D All for the '72 Nova...
I also took her and the daughter to dinner Tuesday night and got each a nice card... I got a nice card from her and she cooked up a nice dinner last night.
Ok, I'll explain the car parts... When we got the Nova my wife started claiming it as hers so I put the title and reg in both our names. I also started calling it her car and now have never had to haggle with her when spending money on parts... "Look what I bought for your car honey" and she acts like I bought her a gift. Talk about having your cake and eating it too...
RickD Feb 15th, 07, 09:38 AM Flowers and I did all the horse chores for the day. The brownie point helps restore my debit/credit column :)
Codi Feb 15th, 07, 10:20 AM I let her dig her car out of the snow. No really, it should have been enough that we were both home on a 'snow day". I got her the typical card and a box of her favorite chocolate covered potato chips. Only problem was the candy was at my office (stashed) and I was at home digging out. She got me a card. Not a gift card, a card. El cheapo.
jr68 Feb 15th, 07, 11:05 AM p.s. I got a balloon tied to a snickers bar, my fav. :)
I hope you did'nt waste the helium :)
HwyStarJoe Feb 15th, 07, 11:28 AM I got up bright and early at 5:30am and snowblowed the driveway so she could get to work. Foot and a half deep.
Then when we got home, we spent some quality time together.... SHOVELLING the driveway again because of the 18 more inches it snowed all day. Oh, we shovelled because the snowblowers drive belt idler pulley spring broke during the morning run.
After all that quality time, we were beat.
:)
But I got her a card (humorous of course) and a rose in a special vase.
Blade Feb 15th, 07, 11:37 AM I got her flowers, a bear, a large balloon, and a card.
Took her shopping.
Then Took her to diner.
Everett#2390 Feb 15th, 07, 11:50 AM I give her a card in the morning on the counter before I left for work and she got up. Later, the stuffed bear with Hershey's kisses I ordered last week was delivered.
I got a card, a Thank You, chicken & dumplins, and a broken clothes dryer.

67RS/SS396 Feb 15th, 07, 06:00 PM Well I hate to admit but I got my wife 1 carat earrings to match the 2.5 carat ring I got her on our anniversary 1/17/87 our 20th. I felt kinda guilty after she found out about the 67 rs/ss I had in storage and now just started restoring. But you know what, she's worth every penny, the wife I mean, because she also was born in 67 and very understanding. I just love those 67's

Lost in the 60's Feb 15th, 07, 08:54 PM Our anniversary is Feb 4, so we do the special dinner thing and night together then. She still gets a nice card, bouquet of flowers and a box of chocalates on Valentine's, so we're good.
Click...about the flowers delivered to work...my wife is a computer programmer and works with mostly men. She turned 45 last September and I had 45 roses delivered to her at work......talk about brownie points. Even the guys had to come to her cube to see it...it took up a LOT of space on her desk...:D I think she's looking forward to her 50th.....;)
