Hey guys,
Just joined the site. Got a 68 that I have had for 20 years. About 14 years ago, I started disassembling the car to restore into my dream car. As luck would have it, I became a father at about the same time. Took the wind right out of my sails. Now the boy is old enough to actually help with the project. I intend to make this a father / son project. Right now, the car is an empty shell. The garage space that used to hold the 327 and PG that came out of the car has been cleared out to make room for the 396 4speed combo that is going back in. The stock rearend has been replaced with a 12 bolt unit with 4:10 gears. I have the subframe out of the car to repair rust at the body bushing mount locations. Will likely go back together with disc brakes up front. No sense in going fast if you can't stop. It will be challenging trying to remember where all of the bolts go that I removed so many years ago. I will probably be asking lots of questions. Wish me luck!
