Can I use body filler? Like Evercoat Rage?

No, it will crack if you use body filler unless you weld the seam solid.Use 3m urethane seam sealer.

I agree with shotty F body. If you use fast and firm it will get a crack over time

After dealing with that issue for many years, I have decided it is better to weld that sucker shut and draw a cut off wheel over the dressed bead to simulate the seam. That is what we did for my car this go around. I would do it again for sure. They always crack otherwise.

Before I suggest anything, I need more information. Are you trying to fill the seam for a smooth look or keep the factory look and prevent rust?
