What's makes the 97 SS different from any other camaro? I recently foud one for 4000.00 and it's in nice shape besides having 140,000 miles on it. It's red with T-tops. Is their a code or and ID that can prove what it is?

You will need to contact SLP with the vin # and they can tell you for sure. It should have a white sticker on the driver side door that says it was modified by SLP and what options it has. Should also have a similar sticker under the hood.

It will have a composite ram air hood and larger rear spoiler, 17" 5 spoke wheels, and the airbox will either say CAMARO SS if it was produced later in the year, or Z28/SS if it was an early production model.

Go look in front of the radiator on top .. dunno what that piece of plastic is called.. But there should be a sticker there that should read .. SLP .. but then again .. those panels can be replaced... go to the Passenger side door and see if there is a Sticker there with somthing that reads .. SLP Car # ????

hints my Name SS #1113 . But call SLP .. google it .. and give them your vin .. they should tell you straight out if its a True SS... and not a FAKE !!!
