When the rear spoiler is mounted on a 68 what happens to the deck lid emblem? Does the spoiler simply mount over it? Does the emblem get moved forward on the deck lid?

You remove it and no longer have one on the rear. Or thats how my car is.

Either way is OK. Do a search, I had that same concern when installing it. My emblems template has the location described and the trunk lid has the access holes to install the nuts in the upper location.

When a 68 had a factory installed spoiler, the emblem was moved up on the trunk lid to a new location as mentioned by ORENCH.

Thanks, for the advice. I have to make sure all holes that need to be there are there. Car goes in for paint in two weeks.

The same applys to the 69. I have a spoiler and the rear emblem is moved up. You can see where when the trunk is opened.

What about on a 67? Same thing? I want to put a spoiler on but the deck lid does not have the holes in it for the spoiler nuts to fit into on the back side.
Thanks, Matt

MWC67, I think that the spoilers were not available until 68. That would explain why your trunk lid does not have the mounting holes. However, I see 67's all the time with spoilers. Erik

67-69 used the same trunk lid.

Also, If you are painting Z/28 "runway stripes" I think the 68's were not painted under the badge. Basically followed the outline of the "C". 69's were painted straight, and the "Camaro" was installed over the edge of the stripe.
