Just a quick question...Was the black rear panel (around tail lights) on 68's strictly for SS cars or was it just an option for all? Also, is in flat black? Thinking of it for my RS and need to know. Thanks

The black rear panel was on SS big block cars only. (Some Yenkos were possibly an exception, not sure about 68's). It was a semi flat black.

Only SS 396 cars had the semi gloss black in between the tail lights. The RS/SS 396 had it under the doors, on the rockers as well as the tail lights.
