My rocker panels on my ragtop are in need of replacing. I'm not sure what I really need, because most of catalogs advertise inner/outer panels. Thanks!

You can look from different vantage points but, ultimately, cutting the outer rocker off and then surveying the problem is the best method to determine the damage.
If you are replacing the outers anyway,it's no big deal.
A tip: Make sure the place you buy the outers from has the inners in stock when you buy the outers or you might be waiting longer than you want to put the car back together.

Just make sure you use Convertible rockers! Structurally the first generation F body convertibles are a completely different animal compared to a coupe. Lacking a roof, the convertibles use a heavier gauge rocker panel with one or two heavy gauge pieces of reinforcement steel running horizontally through them for structural integrity. I’ve cut several rocker panels off but never tried to replaced one, be careful you don't compromise the integrity of the car. http://www.camaros.net/forum/redface.gif

...like geezer said, conv. rockers are completly different. There are 2 more pieces inside the conv., and the gauge of the metal is a healthy 3/16 in. thick where as the coupe gauge is on the lite side of 3/16. They are hard to come by, dont forget the firebird if your looking for a donor.
