Searching past posts indicate the correct 1969 Z-28 stripe color is "Dover white". Dupont does not list this color except in cars of the 1950's. Is it all the same? Another post lists the currently available color as "Arctic white". Dupont only lists this as vinyl paint. Can anyone help with the correct (and available) paint code? Dupont only, I don't want to mix brands. Thanks

Hello, I have Dover White in the Dupont Chromabase that I'm using on my '69 Z. On the can the code is 50. There is also 5033K, not sure what that is. The mixing formula is also on the can. Let me know if you need that also. Then your paint store could mix it for you. Take care, Jeff

Dover white, Artic white and Antique white are all the same, Dover white is paint code 50 used from 69 to 74, Antique White is the mid 80's name, code 11 and Artic white is what Duplicolor calls it DS-138

Cotillion white is not a GM name for a paint. The PPG code for Dover White is 2058. See if that number crosses over to Dupont.

I used the Artic White on my '67 bumblebee. I think the color looks perfect with my Marina Blue. It was Dupont Chroma Premier #4024 F. I would think the number would be the same if you're not using the Premier line.

Thanks I will give both a try. I belive you that "cotillion white" is not a GM paint name but Dupont lists it as the name for GM 1969 code 50

Just went thru the same thing at the body shop supply store. 69 code 50 came up as Cotillion white. Had to go dig up the old Dupont book in the back to get a laquer code of 5033L for 69 GM code 50 dover white. There were half a dozen different names for the code 50 white paint, none of which were cotillion. Names don't really mean anything though so who knows if it's the same or not. They used the formula for the dupont 5033L. My receipt for chromalusion BC/CC paint has the code 5033 on it, can says 5033K. No paint formula on the label though.

This stuff is expensive (relative to the last time I bought paint) 51.00 for a quart. They had some of that PPG color changing paint there too. $900 a pint, guy says the powder or whatever it is that is mixed in there with the paint is 10,000 an oz. Guess it's something like the old pearl mixtures.
