Workin on reinstalling the e brake cable after putting on a rear Baer Track system. My problem is that the cable is about 5" short of the hook. I really only see one hole on the pass. side frame rail that the hook could go in, so is my hook too short? Its aprx. 6" On the other diagrams I've looked up the hook looks pretty long? thanks in advance:)

The hook goes in the crossmember...that should get you on the cable.

To the trans crossmember? That’s even further. The diagram I looked up and the searches I’ve done here say pass. side frame rail, right? Does anyone have a pic and/or a measurement of their e brake hook?

I had an issue like that and purchased an adjustable rod at Orchard Supply for about $5 and that also allowed me an additional adjustment as needed for the brake. It did hook to the frame rail.

You're right....it IS supposed to go to the frame. The PO of my car fabricated his own hook and it's a lot longer than a correct one. Sorry for the confusion...:o
