Hi All,

A long time ago I bought a new filler panel, the one that goes between the rear window and the trunk. Now since the lip on the inside of the car is also a bit rusty I decided to buy the newer version with that lip attached to it. Now I noticed in the classic industries catalog they also sell a panel with the trunk hinges and torsion bars already attached to it. Does anybody have any experience with those, good or bad, how they fit? Thanks...

The only one that includes the trunk hinges and torsion bars is for the convertible. I don't think the coupe has one available yet.

The coupe one (as 67CMC said) is not available. That's a big job to replace. The back panel is easy.

I doesn't look like this part is for a convertible, check out the classic industries body panels catalog (http://www.classicindustries.com/pdf/c04_body-components.pdf). Its on page 128 (acrobat pages, page 511 in the actual catalog). It has the exact same description as the other filler panel, no mention of convertible what so ever. They even mention the inner lip, does a convertible have that lip too?

Aw man, now they come up with this replacement assembly! The pic in the catalog does look like the standard panel.

I had to replace my old rotten one (http://chemagic.com/craigon/CamaroPics/OldFillerHinge04.jpg) with one from salvage (http://chemagic.com/craigon/CamaroPics/New_Filler-Hinge03.jpg). It arrived from OK via UPS with no packaging...just had an address sticker slapped on...LOL.

Like we had said, the only one that we know that is repoped is the convertible. But you never know, maybe it is available now? Call them and ask or send that company an email.

if you look at the pics in the catalog, there is one for the coupe (with out hinges) and one for the convt (with hinges). The top panel is different.
