Maybe a dumb question but I've borrowed a steering wheel puller from autozone and in the process of checking why my signal return only works on one side. All the manuals just say REMOVE the center horn button and cap, then loosen the center nut holding the steering wheel. How do you remove the horn button and cap? Does it just pop off with prying I'm hesitant of just prying on something unless I know that's the way it comes off. It's a 68 coupe with power steering.

Thanks

If it's the comfort grip steering wheel just pull it up from underneath using your middle finger & ring finger which is pretty much what SixtyAte said.

Mine twists and then unlocks and up and off.

But I have the optional wood-grained plastic wheel horn button, not the SS.

PDQ67,

Which way do you have to turn yours to remove? Counter or Clockwise? I received a new Rosewood Wheel last Christmas and am about to take the challenge of swapping the wheel out. So anyone with any advice is greatly appreciated also.....
