Blaine,

There are three 4-barrel cast-iron intake's that were used.

The old early WCFB intake, the old 300hp/327 intake and finally the Q-Jet intake.

would that be a good intake for performance on a small block? where does it rate with others?

OK, the WCFB intake will have four little-bitty holes. And it's carb mount outline will be sorta scalloped...

The AFB intake will have four bigger holes, but the two in front will be ever so slightly smaller than the rear holes. And squared up..

AND finally the Q-Jet intake will have to little-bitty front holes and two great big rear holes so which intake is it??

And both the AFB and the Q-Jet intake's are darn good for STOCK!!

I doubt if you can even scare up an old WCFB carb. nowadays unless the EARLY 'Vette guys decide to let one go??

AFB means "aluminum 4-barrel"!

I'm not sure about WCFB, "CFB" = "Carter 4-barrel"???

Sorry,

PS., you can ID a WCFB real easy b/c it is the only 4-barrel carb. made that has a cast-iron base plate and it is usually all rusty!!
