I have a set of dart pro 1 215 in stock out of the box condition on a 385, looking to start 406 build around 500/550 hp tq. and would like to use them. Question is should I up grade and invest to afr eliminators or similar, or do these pro 1 with a tickle have the potential to reach my goal with out throwing heaps of cash at them

i would use what you already have.

Little bowl work on the Pro 1s and 550hp shouldnt be a problem.

Those Dart Pro 1's will rock on a 406. A little bowl work as suggested will do the trick. You can do it yourself (http://www.sa-motorsports.com/diyport.aspx) if wanted.
