Does the light switch also control the dome light on/off without the ignition on? Or does it even turn the dome light on at all. I got my door switches to work but forgot to check out my light switch and thought I would ask this dumb question before I get back to it. Thanks.

Yes, the light switch should always turn the dome light on.
