No kit is available. Do a search here and you will find tons of info. I would suggest building a 383 small block or a 406 etc. It would be tons cheaper with big-block like power.

Talk with JimM. He recently turned his 327 into a 383 and he loves it.

I would buy a 427 or a 454 small block for it that is if you have an extra 11 grand laying around. As far as a bigblock I have read that before gm put them in some dealers where just droping them in useing all the smallblock mounts.

Id keep the smallblock and forget about the boat anchor. :)

Your call. But over the years, like many here, I've had both engines. My Camaro has only been a BBC car. Massive components. The engine bay with a small block just isn't as neat as a BB. Sorry guys. Of course weight is a big factor. Only the block is iron. Even the radiator is aluminum and the batteries are in the trunk. I like to go around corners FAST! :D
Here's a look at the bottom-end.

As for heater core u dont have to do anything to that as long as u use short valve cover.

Here are two past threads with fairly comprehensive lists and discussion.

I went from a 350 to a 396. I did modify the heater core to accomodate which was no easy task but worth the mod.
