I am trying to remove the wheels and guess what? One lug stud is just spinning with the lug nut on it. Anyone have this happen, how do you remove it, and will a nut splitter take it off?

I had same issue and just took an cutoff wheel and very carefully cut the stud. May not work due to your lug style ?

If one stud is damaged..most proberly because of over torquing...replace the whole set ...just in case

for future reference, i found the easiest and least frustrating way to remove a spinning lug is to just stick a 4 way on it and push straight down as hard as you can. the hardened stud will snap right off. new studs and nuts are cheap at a good auto parts house.

Not gonna get away with that on Weld Wheels or anything with a shank that goes into the wheel, but most others may work.

I want to mention that IF you can get a welding stick back in there, spot it good and let it cool and remove!!
