Hi, I have a GM box with part #8701110 on it but the number on the emblem inside is 8731792. Can anyone tell me what this is for or is it a new part # GM switched too? Thanks, Tim.:confused:

You have a legitimate SS rear panel emblem for a 69. I have several NOS ones and they all come in the 8701110 box and have the part number you listed on the back of the emblem. I have a few in very old GM boxes and they have the part number difference as well.
