I tried to do a search and can't find a clear answer. I have a 68 cmaaro that I think I have a bent subframe on. I have just got a 74 nova that I am going to swap the rearend out with and disk brakes. I have heard that the subframes are the same. If they are it would be easier to just swap the subframes and then I could leave all the disk brake stuff on it. Can anyone verify that these are the same.
Thanks
Shane

That's what I've been told... all Novas 68-74!

They are the same. What makes you think it is bent?

The guy I bought it from had hit a tree on the drivers side. I just assumed that it was fixed. But when you turn right not left the front left wheel seems to wobble (sp). When turning left it doesn't do it and doesn't wobble. Now its only when its a simi hard turn. Also I was installing a 700r4 and noticed after getting the trans in that the trans wasnt centered with the car and looked and noticed that the engine was also not centered in the frame rails with the back driver side going toward the driver side. I am wanting to put the dick brakes off of the nova anyway and thought that it would kill 2 birds (etc.) by just going ahead and canging the subframe. Thought also that I could go ahead and strip it and do a simi restore on the the suspinsion while I had it off. And maybe go ahead and replace the dirverside floor pan while it was easily accessable. Probably went in to more than I needed to but that is what I am thinking.

Are you saying the tire skips, when making slow turns? It squeels, and feels like it tucks under when you turn hard?If so,check your tie rod lengths, probably will find one longer than the other.
