Any ideas about this intake? I posted it earier w/ several other items, and thought I'd post it seperate in tag team.

It has a cast date of 11/11/70 and has a GM part number of 6269318. It has brass inserts in the water area(s).

A few that have guessed said Marine application possibly? (Did GM make aluminum intakes for Marine engines?)

Any info would be helpful.

Thanks
Rich

The "few" are right. That's a GM Marine intake used from the late 60's through today!

You can still get them from a few places like PERFORMANCE PRODUCT TECHNOLOGIES (http://www.perfprotech.com/Store2/ProductDetails.aspx?productID=1398). NOT cheap though, (unless you get it off of EBAY (http://search-desc.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&sacqyop=ge&catref=C5&saaff=afdefault&sacur=0&fcl=3&frpp=50&nojspr=y&from=R10&saslop=1&fss=0&satitle=6269318&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&fts=2&sargn=-1%26saslc%3D2&sadis=200&fpos=92563&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&fsop=1&fsoo=1)).
