Called Classic today, it was less than helpfull. I asked the guy were their 68 Camaro gas tanks are made. He replied and said he didnt know. So I asked if he could find out and explained that two different companies make them. He said that he couldnt find out and that they make there own tanks but contract it out to overseas he thought.

I have used both tanks from Classic, I believe the cheaper tank is made off shore and the other tank they sell is made by Spectra which is a Canadian company. This was appox. 1 year ago, unless they have changed suppliers. The cheaper tank fit OK, although it did not look galvanized like the spectra tank, it looked more like satin coated tin . The spectra tank is a nice piece. IMO.
