I bought a set of used C5 calipers, and they're pretty grimy. I completely disassembled them. I was thinking of using oven cleaner on them, and was wondering if it will rmove the powdercoating. I know it will remove paint - not sure on the powdercoat. Also not sure if it will attack the aluminum in the piston bores. Any experience on this? Thanks.

Set them in the lower dishwasher shelf, add two bags of d/w soap and wash them. Don't let the wife catch you.
