40Coupe Mar 11th, 07, 07:24 PM Thanks for the compliments fellas.
Andy-Glad to meet you in person as well. You and I would be a good heads up race! I ended up winning the award for closest to 10.0 with a 10.005. I selected a T-shirt which reads: "My engine runs......N/A.....Naturally Asskicking".
Yesterday we had 1600' air, a headwind and then I later found today that the o-ring had squeezed out of my McClintic valve which mean't my vacuum pump was doing jack! I wondered where that 2 MPH I couldn't account for went!!! One of these days I'm gonna get a good DA day and a track with teeth on the same day! Hope to post up some other new bests later in the year.
Mwilson Mar 11th, 07, 07:34 PM Looks awesome!

67RS502 Mar 13th, 07, 04:05 PM Garret, what changes did you make to pick up the 60ft?
40Coupe Mar 13th, 07, 05:57 PM Rafal,
I've been working on the chassis off/on for 3 years. My latest upgrades included installing some AFCO 1840F's up front and getting a better spring rate up front, worked on travel and lastly making sure things worked freely.
It's obvious I'm going the right direction when I picked up 60 foot in worse air on a marginal track over the previous best. To boot I got home and discovered the McClintoc valve in my vacuum pump setup malfuctioned meaning the pump was doing nothing! Should be an interesting fall if I can put everything together on the same pass along with some planned HP producing upgrades.
Radcannon Mar 13th, 07, 09:52 PM Amazing... I live over in leawood and am hoping to get my car done for the tracks this summer. I am just afraid that it wont be legal without a roll cage and stuff because it should be under 12 or at least im hoping. Id be interested in going to KCIR to check out most of the fbodys and bring mine sometime if i knew when the schedules were.
40Coupe Mar 14th, 07, 07:01 AM The next F-body shootout is scheduled for Nov. If you want to keep up on what's going on go to this site. http://www.mofbody.com
Dominate67 Mar 14th, 07, 08:08 AM Garret,
I already said it in the other forum but completely awesome. Your cars look, performance, and launch are to die for. I would have loved to watch that car launch in person. Congrats and with your Vacuum pump fixed hope you set new personal best. Be sure to fill us in on the difference it made.
Shawn

DZ Fool Mar 14th, 07, 04:36 PM Is the pinion angle and which hole on the caltracs a secret ? If not could you tell a few freinds ?
