If there is any kind of paint or primer on it, then you need to use something else. Bob MARTINSR Aug 3rd, 04, 05:22 AM Bob is right, that "E" coat IS an "etch" primer, rich in zinc. Scuff it and shoot your primer of choice, epoxy or urethane. DanBnis Aug 3rd, 04, 06:46 AM A word of caution to any guys using repro panels. Just because they are black does not mean they are "E" coated. One repro quarter I got had paint not much better than water color on it.
