: Emblems... can they be TAPED... or GLUED

This question was partially addressed in a backdoor method couple of weeks ago about someone wanting info on attaching emblems with hard to access areas for retaining nuts.

BUT... I have some emblems coming from Rick's, and I have no intention of drilling to install, and on the left fender that IS drilled, do not have access for retainers. Additionally, I do not want to purchase the hole "inserts" that allow you to attach emblems...

Basically, I don't want any more holes in my car. LOL. What I really want is to tape the emblems similar to many OEM style exterior applications in the "modern" production process.

Has anyone done this, or even glued. If you glued, did you drill first for an anchor.

If you can help me with this I would be grateful. Make sure that if you have successfully done this, you post EXACTLY what product(s) you used, and how long the emblems have been attached, and any special care instructions you would recommend.

Thanks.

No access! Remove a few fender bolts and attach the emblems from behind with speed nuts. Its a little more work but well worth the effort IMO. If you are going to drill an anchor hole, why not drill two more and do it properly? Remember, your car will be exposed to the elements, washing , drying and waxing, etc!!

RSS I understand that the one emblem you are discussing is accessible... but I have many others I would like to install... 327 on my ZL2 hood... etc. This question was meant to address the whole idea of emblem installation without drilling panels... thank you though for your input. You have a valid point.

ZUMA... that is EXACTLY what I wanted. Thanks, bud.
